The Network of East Hillsborough Neighborhoods
Bright Beginnings’ newest program is funded by the Children’s Board of Hillsborough County.
The Children’s Board wanted to ensure that the residents of Plant City and surrounding communities had a strong voice in determining services for children and families residing in Eastern Hillsborough County. As a result, The Network of East Hillsborough Neighborhoods was created.
Today, this Network enhances the lives of children and families by acting as a link between residents, businesses and service agencies. A governance board, consisting of two residents from each of the identified areas of East Hillsborough County, assist the Children’s Board in deciding how it might better serve the area. This Network gives residents a chance to prioritize the services they need most and choose where they are delivered.
Located in the heart of Plant City, The Network strives to create a welcoming environment extending universal access to all the area’s residents. The Network focuses on safe neighborhoods, productive schools, neighbors who work together, and others who bring in specially designed services and support. Together, with the help of its residents, The Network is making East Hillsborough a great place to live.
