Family Support and Resource Centers:

Neighborhood based centers that provide education and family support services to the community. The Centers provide programming that enhance the lives of children and their families in a warm, caring and respectful environment. Basic programming includes child development, health and safety and self-sufficiency.

Self-sufficiency:

A county-wide initiative that enhances a family stability and success. Family self-sufficiency is viewed as a continuum beginning with programming targeting school success for young and middle school age children and college preparation for older children. Healthy Families:

A voluntary home visitation program designed to promote optimal health, developmental and behavioral outcomes for children in Hillsborough County. Services are provided pre-natal or at birth and can continue through the first five years of a child’s life. Bright Beginnings Teen Prevention Program:
